The Inspiration for the "Titty City" Skateboard Deck

"Hi, I'm Jessy, local South Bay artist and the Tits behind Titty City Design. I'd like to thank Boards Across Hermosa and Invisible Arts for the opportunity to showcase my art that connects to the historical theme of 'Rock, Roll, Rebel: Hermosa.'

My hand-painted deck titled, 'Titty City,' is in honor of a Hermosa Beach local and Hall of Fame skateboarder, Cindy Whitehead (@sportsstylist). Not only is she a pioneer of the sport in the 70s, with her long-lasting impact documented in the Smithsonian, but she also continues to carve space for girls and womxn in the male-dominated sport to this day. The legendary, Cindy Whitehead gives back to womxn and girls in skateboarding through her movement @girlisnota4letterword a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities, funding, and recognition.

Keep on rocking, rolling, and rebelling!"
