Our Best Highlights from Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we have provided education for breast health, support for the breast cancer community, featured amazing breast cancer organizations, and launched a bunch of new products. 

Part of our mission at Titty City Design is to advocate for breast health. It means so much to us that you have been a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with us. There are still a few days left, however, we wanted to reflect on some highlights from the month. Read on for a full recap!

1 in 8 women in the US will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

Early detection saves lives! That is why it is so important to be aware of your own breast health by performing breast self-exams every month, getting screened, and encouraging each other to do the same.

#1 Doubling our contributions

We give back all year long. A portion of our proceeds is donated annually to support METAvivor, an organization that is dedicated to the specific fight of people living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Every October, we double our contributions.

 

#2 Giveback Highlights

This October we have supported some amazing breast cancer organizations.

American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society funds the future of breast cancer research and programs for our loved ones today and future generations. With the launch of our Brave Boobie bandana, we have supported The American Cancer Society for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. We have donated $1 of every Brave Boobie bandana directly to them. 

Making Strides Santa Monica

The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of their journey. We donated a special supportive gift set for the raffle at the Making Strides annual 5k event in Santa Monica. Jessy, the Tits behind Titty City Design, also brought her whole family to the event to show support.

Malibu Dana + The Breast Cancer Fundraiser

We teamed up with Malibu Dana, a proud ambassador, advisory board member, and volunteer for The Breast Cancer Fundraiser (The BCF) by donating a bundle of our best-selling products to be raffled off at Polkadots + Moonbeams. Get your raffle tickets here through November 10th.

Malibu Dana and The BCF send out WeCare Packages across the country for newly diagnosed patients that service the “whole woman” in need of useful items that are often overlooked as essential during breast cancer treatment and recovery. Their mission is to preserve the dignity of breast cancer patients by providing tangible, compassionate care.

Bright Pink

We put our Tits together with the incredibly talented fiber artist, Crystal Mihaylo of Not Your Nana Yarnwork to make a one-of-a-kind art piece that is being auctioned off on Instagram OCTOBER 28th. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Bright Pink. The mission of Bright Pink is to accelerate, deepen, and expand the impact of life-saving breast and ovarian health interventions.

#3 Creator Collab

As a fun way to involve our Instagram communi-Titty in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we partnered with 3 artist creators Pipedream Pottery, Anethum Jewelry, and Nasty Peache to giveaway 4 unique boob-themed items from our shops! Our Happy + Healthy Boobs Giveaway was a huge success and had one very satisfied winner!

#4 Four Weeks of Educational Content

Breast health is part of “The Boobment” we’ve started to normalize talking about boobs and sharing our experiences with them. So all month long, we have shared ways to get involved with Breast Cancer Awareness Month on our Instagram and TikTok channels. They are still up for you to check out.

#5 Product Launches

This month has been filled with the most product launches we have ever done in a short period of time. We wanted to offer up new + bundled merch to create more opportunities for us to raise funds for METAvivor – since we double our contributions from our sales in October. Supportive Brave Boobie Gift Sets

Knowing what to do or say to a loved one battling breast cancer is no easy thing. That’s why we’ve worked hard to curate a selection of breast cancer gift sets. If you are looking for gifts for breast cancer patients, then we hope one of our bundles (always made with love) will be just the thing.

Boob Bandana

For October, we launched 3 new boob bandanas featuring our signature Titty City design. They come in white, black, and pink. The pink one showcases a variety of beautiful Boobies with mastectomy scars to promote body confidence.

Boob Hats and Boobie Beanies

Our newest obsession is here! We are thrilled to launch our adorable Boob hats and warm knit caps! There are so many colors and styles to choose from. We created these Boobiful hats to be conversation starters for The Boobment to help normalize all things Boob! Wear one and strike up a conversation about breast health, breastfeeding, or body positivity.

#5 Blog Posts

Our “Let’s Talk Titties” blog is packed with helpful information. Our articles are filled with information and advice related to all things Boobs! This month we published articles related to the breast cancer community, including “20 Messages for Breast Cancer Patients When You Don’t Have the Words.”

We Cannot Thank You Enough For Your Support
